The best way without going back to school is to purchase the at home audio tapes. You can learn basic italian very easily that way and you can listen to the tapes for better pronunciation. You can also check Barnes and Noble University at http://www.bn.com. Every couple of months they offer a beginning language course. It goes along with the tapes but it’s an interactive class where you can ask the instructor questions and chat with other people to practice. Best of all it’s FREE!
